This book had all of the familiar Danielle Steel ingredients: success, family, ambition; and serious stuff like divorce, AIDS, and the downs and lows of celebrity life. I found it to be repetitive but I also loved it because the extra descriptions and explanations made me feel close to the characters and everything about them. I love Danielle Steel books so much because they always provide a solution for those who are experiencing hopelessness and tragedy. I mean, Steel always ends her stories with positive outcomes it makes a depressed reader feel satisfied with life and know that there is an open window when everything seems claustrophobic.

This story is simple and the characters are likable. I can’t find which protagonist (there are three of them) to choose as my favorite. I feel like even though they are female, I could learn a thing or two from them about battling life’s struggles with patience, courage, financial stability, and love. This is a book about friendships, and Steel makes it clear in here that you have to have friends to make it in this world. Friends are vital for your survival. Yes they are.
